The Speed Racer 4K release date has been revealed for the underrated cult classic action movie from The Matrix directors.

With the support of his family and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie, Speed teams with his one-time rival–the mysterious Racer X–to win the race that took his brother, Rex Racer’s, life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.”will finally be available for purchase digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc starting on May 19, 2026. It will also include new bonus content, featuring the filmmakers reflecting on the making of the film and its legacy. In addition, Warner Bros. Pictures will also hold special theatrical screenings of Speed Racer with Flashback Cinema. The underrated film will return to theaters the week of April 25 in 225 locations across the U.S. During its initial theatrical run, the film underperformed at the box office, grossing nearly $94 million worldwide against its reported budget of $120 million.
