“That sounds simple enough when you say it like that, but believe me, calling an election involves a huge number of moving parts that most people in the media never fully appreciate,” she said. “It involves a whole lot of things you need to fall into alignment, an enormous number of things to be considered and the work on all of that is done over months not days.
