Kota Kinabalu: The State Ministry of Finance (MOF) will be implementing a Special Programme for Voluntary Declaration of State Sales Tax (SST) starting Aug 15 to Dec 31.
This programme is to encourage State Sales Tax payers for two products - fishery commodities and scrap iron - brought out of Sabah.Taxpayers are urged to voluntarily register for a licence and declare taxes in due accordance with the State Sales Tax Enactment 1998. The programme is also implemented to ensure that state revenue that should have been paid to the State Government is collected in 2023.
