Speaker Martin G. Romualdez on Tuesday lauded the 20 awardees of the first-ever Marikina Youth Leadership Award (MYLA) for their
academic excellence and extraordinary leadership, as he extolled young leaders who strive and work for the betterment of their respective communities.
“I commend Teacher Stella’s foresight in spotlighting these dual achievers, for they are truly the city’s pride. These individuals … embody the principles of MYLA: valuing others, extending help to those in need, and playing a pivotal role in community building,” said Romualdez during the launch of the event at the North Lounge of the House of Representatives.
“They are not just leaders of tomorrow, but leaders of today,” Romualdez, the leader of the 313-member House of Representatives added
