According to the district, areas of the far East Bay interior likely will have air quality that is unhealthy for the elderly and very young, and those with heart, respiratory or other health conditions. The South Bay and North Bay are expected to have air that is moderately healthy. Temperatures in the hottest places in the East Bay and high elevations are expected to be between 102 and 106 in the East Bay on Wednesday and between 105 and 110 on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.The district issued two alerts during the initial part of a heat wave that charred the region just before the Fourth of July.She barely knew this Walnut Creek man from church.
