Spar shoppers horrified by 'mad' price of Prime drink after it sells out in Aldi and ASDA
At the end of last year, Aldi sent shoppers into a frenzy as it stocked the popular Prime energy drink in stores for £1.99. The drink, which was created by YouTube sensations KSI and Logan Paul, was quickly stripped from shelves - despite Aldi's three bottles per person policy.
The Prime drink is now proving so popular, it's being sold for well over its recommended retail price online and in corner shops. Now Prime is in stock in some Spar stores, and shoppers have been left 'horrified' by how much it costs.The Grocer reports a poll carried out by Prime Tracker UK, which attracted nearly 5,000 responses. It found that 44.1% of Spar shoppers had seen or paid over the £2.99 RRP per bottle.
