The father of Euro 2024 star Lamine Yamal has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed, according to reports in Spain.
Police in Catalonia, The Mossos d'Esquadra have launched a probe into the incident alongside Mataro's municipal policing team. It is said to still be too early to determine what happened, The Mirror reports. Yamal was a regular in his nation's starting XI and scored a crucial strike versus France to help Spain reach the final where they toppled Gareth Southgate's side in Berlin.
"I knew about my son when he was born," he said earlier this year. "I knew he was going to be a star. Whoever is a father knows it and any father wants his child to be the best.
