Spain's men's team are doing everything they can to avoid discussing Rubiales following confirmation of the criminal investigation

Most around the squad would have preferred for their former boss to have kept out of sight for at least a couple more days. This also contributed to a shift in feeling among some who had previously supported him, or at least sympathised with his situation. Those who had previously worked with him, even as allegations of other misconduct had emerged well before the Women’s World Cup, were now backing away.
