Spaceballs 2, which arrives in 2027, receives an exciting production update as one of the stars of Superman joins the cast.
It was announced a little over a year ago that Spaceballs 2 was officially happening at Amazon MGM Studios. A sequel to 1987’sProduction on Spaceballs 2 has now officially begun. Carrigan recently played Rex Mason/Metamorpho in James Gunn’s Superman movie, while he’s also recognized for playing NoHo Hank alongside Bill Hader in HBO’s Barry. He’s also been in television shows such as The Forgotten, Parenthood, The Flash, Gotham, and Twisted Metal, while his filmography includes 2016’s The Satanic, 2020’s Bill & Ted Face the Music, 2025’s Death of a Unicorn, and more.Greenbaum — whose previous filmography includes 2021’s Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, 2023’s Strays, and 2024’s Will & Harper — serves as a producer alongside Brooks, Gad serve Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jeb Brody, and Kevin Salter.
