The Space-Time Smackdown booster pack for the Pokemon Trading Card Game introduces exciting new features, including two new status conditions, a plethora of new Pokemon and Trainer cards, and the groundbreaking addition of Tool cards.

The Space-Time Smackdown booster pack has arrived, bringing exciting new features that are set to shake up the meta. This update introduces a plethora of new Pokemon cards, Trainer cards, and a brand new card type: Tools . Each of these additions seamlessly integrates into existing decks, while simultaneously paving the way for the construction of innovative new decks, expanding the strategic possibilities for both seasoned and novice players.

But what exactly is included in the Space-Time Smackdown booster pack, and why are fans so eagerly anticipating its release? The pack introduces two new status conditions: Burn and Confused. Burn functions similarly to Poison, with a crucial difference. Players will flip a coin between turns, mitigating damage on heads but remaining Burned. Landing on tails inflicts 20 damage, but the player can then attempt to remove the Burn status by flipping another coin and landing on heads. Confused, another returning status condition, is incredibly disruptive and effective for stalling opponents. When a Pokemon is Confused, it must flip a coin, only acting normally if it lands on heads. A tails result prompts a second coin flip. If the second flip also lands on tails, the Pokemon inflicts self-damage, determined by yet another coin toss. Heads will deal 20 damage, while tails will deal 30. The pack also features EX Pokemon cards, with legendary cover Pokemon like Darkrai, Yanmega, Pachirisu, Infernape, Gallade, Weavile, Mismagius, and Lickilicky receiving EX treatment. Notably absent from this list are Torterra and Empoleon. The Space-Time Smackdown booster pack introduces new Trainer cards, including Cynthia, Cyrus, Team Galactic Grunt, Dawn, Volkner, and Mars. These one-time use cards can significantly impact the game. Alongside these additions, three new items have been introduced: Armor and Skull Fossils, allowing players to summon Bastiodon and Rampardos, respectively, and Pokemon Communication, which enables players to swap a Pokemon in their hand for a random Pokemon from their deck. The most significant addition is the introduction of Tool cards, a brand new card type. These cards are equipped to Pokemon, granting them various benefits. Players can utilize tools like Giant Cape, Rocky Helmet, and Lum Berry with this expansion. The inclusion of Tools, particularly Rocky Helmet, promises to have a profound impact on the meta. Trading functionality has also been updated, allowing players to swap cards with friends, but with various restrictions and costs
