A MASSIVE radio structure spanning tens of thousands of light years has been detected around the universe's brightest-known 'quasar' - a giant black hole at the heart of a galaxy that causes radiation to be emitted from the material swirling into it.
This phenomena, researchers from the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array in Chile explained, is like staring directly into a car’s headlights: “The dazzling brightness makes it challenging to see the darker surroundings.”“Dynamic range is the contrast between the most brilliant and darkest tones in an image.
