Stadium management has put in new plans around the ticketing challenges that the Soweto derby always present. The latest edition of the Soweto edition - being played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday - will be sold out within the next 48 hours.Kaizer Chiefs will be the hosts this weekend as they seek to record their fifth win in a row in this contest against their rivals Orlando Pirates.
While the sold-out sign will go up there will still be plenty challenges on the day, from fake tickets, people getting in without tickets, and failure to adhere to seating arrangements which always leaves plenty empty seats in the upper tier."You will know that at level one you will not see a passage because it is overcrowded in the lower passages."Not everyone that buys a ticket at level 5 is seated at level 5.
"So, there is always going to be empty seats in the stadium to allow for the eventuality of people getting in without tickets so that five percent is incorporated into the numbers," explains Grobbelaar adding on what the changes they have made for this weekend. "We have also instituted a venue lockdown system in the outside precinct from 06h00 where in the past it was 10h00.
