THE southwest monsoon or 'habagat' continues to prevail over the western part of Luzon but it will be generally fair weather for the rest of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said, Saturday.
Ilocos Region, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, Zambles and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, especially by afternoon and evening due to habagat, the state-run weather bureau said.
'While there are no weather disturbances being monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the next few days, chances of localized thunderstorms are not ruled by afternoon and evening especially in west parts of Luzon,' Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.
