A Southwest Airlines pilot was arrested in Savannah, Georgia for intoxication moments before a Wednesday morning flight to Chicago, airport police told ABC News. Booking records obtained by ABC News showed the pilot, David Allsop, 52, of New Hampshire, was arrested by Savannah/ Hilton Head International Airport police shortly before a flight to Chicago. Allsop's arrest delayed Flight 3772 from 6:05 a.m. to 10:56 a.m. while the airline worked to find a new pilot.

Allsop was 'removed from duty' after the incident, per a statement from Southwest Airlines.We're aware of a situation involving an Employee on Flight 3772 this morning from Savannah. The Employee has been removed from duty. Customers were accommodated on other flights, and we apologize for the disruption to their travel plans. There's nothing more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Employees and Customers
