“Some of our earliest departing flights were delayed this morning, and a handful of them canceled, after we experienced intermittent technology issues that occurred during routine overnight maintenance,” the airline said in a statement, adding that the tech problems had been resolved. According to tracking service FlightAware, more than 1,200 Southwest flights — 38% of all scheduled flights — were delayed nationwide as of 3 p.m. About 300 — or 9% — were canceled.
