Southside, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City and Southwest ISDs have released their projected 2024 accountability ratings as lawsuits challenge the rating system.
With the Texas Education Agency barred by a lawsuit from releasing A to F accountability ratings for the second year in a row, a few school districts have opted to share their projected grades based on preliminary data.

Poor performance on the STAAR exam, which was redesigned and shifted online in 2023, had districts statewide bracing for worse ratings this year. Similar expectations that school systems would do poorly under tightening standards prompted last year’s lawsuit, which halted release of the 2022-2023 rankings.
