For the second year, the Southside Independent School District is offering the highest salary for new teachers in the area. District trustees approved the raise Monday.The Southside Independent School District is once again offering the highest salary for entry-level teachers in the San Antonio area after approving a raise during a board meeting Wednesday night.
“Our high salaries allow us to recruit and retain the best teachers in Texas,” Superintendent Rolando Ramirez said in a statement. “Our teachers are doing an excellent job educating our students and I think we should pay them their weight in gold.”
