Just a day after the community was rocked by a mass shooting at a Taylor Swift dance camp that killed three children, rioters set fire to vehicles and tore down walls to throw bricks at police officers.
Far-right and English Defence League "thugs" took over their streets of Southport last night leaving residents horrified.
The man can be seen gingerly hobbling away from the police line that he had, only moments before, been aggressively approaching, reports the Mirror. One social media user viewing the video commented: "serves him right". While another X user shared the video, saying: "Whatever your take on the goings on in Southport, this is inarguably very funny. Concussion, no b******** and nicked tomorrow for rioting."
"I would also like to thank officers from Greater Manchester Police, Cheshire Police, Lancashire Police and North Wales Police who also provided mutual aid and support."
