The Santa Ana are bringing windy conditions across the Southland, especially for the mountains and areas in the valleys with higher terrain. Temperatures at the beaches will be in the upper 60s to low 70s — up to the mid 70s for L.A. and Orange county coastal cities. Moving inland, highs for the valleys and Inland Empire will reach the upper 70s. High desert communities will reach the upper 60s, and in the mid 70s for the low desert.There is a red flag warning in effect throughout portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties because of gusty Santa Ana winds.

There is also a high wind warning in effect until noon today for the western San Gabriel Mountains.
