The federal case was filed in connection with an undercover sting operation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at the end of October 2022. The technique targeted online predators, including those seeking to meet children using various internet and social media message sites in Washington County, according to a police booking affidavit filed in support of the 2022 arrest.
