Southern Hospitality stars Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese gave Us a complete breakdown of their relationship timeline — before their shotgun wedding in Las Vegas.
Joe gushed, “We're very happy right now.” He added that Bravo fans will see the couple’s “love story kind of unfold” on the upcoming season, since it was “pretty fresh” when the cameras were rolling.“We just started dating weeks before we started filming, so I feel like we're figuring it all out,” Maddi added.
Joe called the nuptials — which were officiated by an Elvis impersonator — an “epic moment” on the show. He played coy about whether fans should start referring to them as husband and wife, but said Maddi is “100 percent” his long-term partner. Although Joe and Maddi are happy in their relationship, they confessed that getting hitched in Sin City was a spur of the moment decision. “I think everything in our life is spur of the moment, so it's pretty on brand for us,” Joe told Us. “We're spontaneous crazy people in the best way possible, but it felt right.”
“I really have had feelings for her for years, but we were also best friends,” Joe recalled. “One day I would wake up and be like, ‘I have a chance with a girl in my dreams’ and the next day I'll be like, ‘This will never happen.’ And most of our friends told me it would never happen.” “I always had feelings for Joe, but I just didn't know if it was past a friendship or not,” she told Us, explaining that it was “very scary” for her to take that leap of faith. “It was definitely worth taking that risk.”
