Southern Cross Gold Ltd. has announced a significant gold discovery at its 100%-owned Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project, adding to the project's reputation as one of the most significant global gold-antimony discoveries in recent years.
Mawson (TSXV:MAW)(Frankfurt:MXR)(OTC PINK:MWSNF) announces that Southern Cross Gold Ltd. ('SXG') has made another significant gold discovery at the Sunday Creek Gold- Antimony Project, located an hour's drive north of Melbourne. SXG's latest drilling efforts have revealed high-grade gold zones at depth, including a section that extends nearly 550 meters below the surface, with exceptional gold grades at the historic Golden Dyke mine area. Key highlights include 5.5 meters at 25.
4 g/t gold and a very high-grade zone of 1.4 meters at 101.1 g/t gold. The discovery extends the known mineralized area by up to 200 meters below previous drilling, demonstrating the continuity of high-grade gold vein sets to depth. SXG's exploration approach is proving successful, with five drill rigs currently operating at the site and a sixth scheduled to arrive in December 2024. The project, which also contains significant antimony, is positioned to benefit from export restrictions recently imposed by China on the critical metal, adding an additional layer of interest. SXG's bold exploration program aims to complete 60 km of drilling over the next year, reflecting the company's confidence in the potential of the Sunday Creek project
