LA Tourism and Banc of California partner to donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross through Restaurant Week reservations.
Southern California's Restaurant Week , a culinary event spanning two weeks and occurring twice a year, is renowned for its emphasis on community. This year, LA Tourism is amplifying that spirit by donating $5 from each reservation made during the event to the American Red Cross. Banc of California has generously pledged to match these donations, potentially raising the total contribution up to $100,000.
This initiative aligns perfectly with Restaurant Week's core values of togetherness and support. Diners can enjoy a wide array of lunch and dinner options, with prices starting at $15. By participating in Restaurant Week, they not only indulge in delicious meals but also contribute to a crucial cause – aiding wildfire relief and recovery efforts.Beyond Restaurant Week, several cultural institutions and attractions are joining the movement to support wildfire victims. A charity screening of classic films like 'Superman' (1978) and '2001: A Space Odyssey' on January 25th will benefit the American Red Cross and other deserving organizations. The Aquarium of the Pacific is hosting its annual 'Celebration of Abilities' event on January 25th and 26th, showcasing the talents of individuals with disabilities through live music, dance performances, workshops, and more. This inclusive event features audio tours and Braille visitor guides, marking its 22nd year at the Long Beach aquarium.Regional theaters are also stepping up, dedicating their screenings to the works of David Lynch. 'Inland Empire' will be featured at theatres in Santa Ana from January 24th to 26th, showcasing Lynch's signature blend of surrealism, intuition, and dreamlike imagery. Meanwhile, other venues will present different Lynch films, celebrating his unique cinematic vision. Finally, the 2025 Union Station Wine Tasting, held on January 25th, offers a glamorous setting and a diverse selection of wines. A new 'Zero-Proof Lounge' will debut at this year's event, providing non-alcoholic options for attendees. The event is open to those aged 21 and over, and advance ticket purchase is recommended.
