John Wayne Airport in Southern California shuts down due to a power outage.
The airport, which is in Santa Ana, California, about 45 minutes southeast of downtown Los Angeles, was impacted by a fire at a substation in nearby Irvine. The power outage caused a full ground stop at the airport, including no departures or arrivals.
Update 2: JWA is in a full operational stop. No arrivals or departures. All inbound flights are being diverted, all outbound flights cancelled. Please check with your airline for more information including flights scheduled to depart tomorrow.
