How long will parts of the Southbank Riverwalk remain underwater? Officials can't say for certain yet.
Flooding has persisted especially during times of high tide under the Main Street bridge, making the section of the Riverwalk impassable. The city's public works department has taped and fenced-off the affected area.
The problem, according to a city spokesperson, is that the National Weather Service is unsure how long the flooding will continue. It could last up to several weeks as the river returns to normal conditions following extreme rainfall downstream during the storm.
