Rain chances will start to increase across South Texas on Friday. While overall rainfall totals are not expected to be huge, a few showers and storms could put a damper on the Battle of Flowers Parade during the late morning and early afternoon. Drier weather is expected to return late Friday and much of Saturday before the next round of storms moves in. Here’s what you can expect.

Severe weather chances A few light showers or areas of drizzle will be possible on Saturday morning, but the majority of the day is expected to stay dry. Temperatures will stay warm as high temps rise into the mid-80s. Winds will be strong, moving into South Texas at 20 to 25 mph. Some gusts may be stronger than 35 mph during the evening.
