San Antonio has gone 26 consecutive days without rain, but slight rain chances will finally enter the forecast again this weekend.

Rain has been hard to come by lately in South Texas . Since Sept. 6, San Antonio has gone 26 days in a row without measurable rainfall, the longest such stretch this year. So far in 2024, San Antonio has recorded 21.29 inches of rain. While that’s an improvement over the past few years, that’s still 3.37 inches below average for the year to date. Moderate drought has returned to San Antonio , and parts of the Hill Country are under severe to extreme drought, according to U.S.

Afternoon temps are expected to top out at 94 degrees in the San Antonio metro area, which is 8 degrees above average for early October. Skies will be mostly sunny, but a few isolated clouds are possible during the afternoon. Thursday: It’s going to be a nearly identical weather forecast for Thursday. Early morning temperatures near 70 degrees will transition to the lower to mid-90s by the afternoon.
