The State Fair of Texas donated nearly $150K to 23 South Dallas nonprofit organizations.
Last year, Spectrum News 1 reported that the State Fair of Texas, also a nonprofit, gave away more than a half-million dollars in grant funds and scholarships to 59 nonprofits in the last grant cycle of 2020. Those monies went to 59 organizations in the southern sector of Dallas.
“The COVID-19 crisis has presented so many new challenges for our local community and continuing to support these organizations right now is essential to ensuring sustainability for these agencies serving on the front lines, providing necessary resources in this area,” said State Fair of Texas Vice President of Community Affairs and Strategic Alliances Froswa’ Booker-Drew at the time. “This year has forced us to adapt and find new, innovative ways to stand with our community.
