South Dale Middle School in Pinckard, Alabama, has received a grant to support its conservation career exploration program. The program focuses on creating native plant habitats for endangered pollinators, which is particularly timely as students are actively planting fruit trees that rely on pollinators for growth. The grant will provide valuable resources for students to learn hands-on skills and explore potential career paths in conservation.
This grant comes just as students are working on planting things native to the area, having recently planted fruit trees that need pollinators to grow.
