People seeking medical attention have been asked to use the ambulance services 'wisely' and contact 111 for urgent advice. It comes just weeks after the trust announced it would be operating a call back system for those not in need of urgent care.
People in need of non-urgent care have been told they could be instructed to make their own way to hospital to receive treatment.
On Twitter, the trust said:"If your situation is not a life-threatening or serious emergency then we will discuss your needs and provide advice." It also urged patients to support its services"wisely" and to use NHS 111 where"possible and appropriate" to do so.In January, dozens were waiting for A&E bedsIn recent weeks, SCAS announced it would be operating a call-back service for those who did not need urgent care.
