Public school teachers in South Australia will go on strike from next Friday. Eighty per cent of educators voted in support of the strike after more than six months of negotiations between the government and the Education Union. It will be the first time teachers have walked off the job since 2019, and they are asking parents and students to join them in front of the state's parliament house.
