Jayden Everett joins Jaguars from Michigan, Jason Washington from Mississippi State
South Alabama has hired Jason Washington, formerly of Mississippi State, Texas and Houston, as its cornerbacks coach and co-defensive coordinator. Washington was on the same Houston staff as South Alabama head coach Major Applewhite, who was offensive coordinator at the time and later became head coach. He replaces Jay Hopson, who stepped down earlier this week after two seasons. Jayden Everett, shown here while at Central Michigan, is South Alabama's new running backs coach. Everett spent the 2024 season as an offensive assistant/analyst at Michigan. He was previously running backs coach at Vanderbilt , Tulsa , Akron and Central Michigan .
