Jaguars trailed ULM by 14 with 3:16 left in regulation, won 96-92
Published: Dec. 17, 2025, 9:29 p.m.South Alabama pulled off one of the more improbable comebacks in its basketball history on Wednesday night at Louisiana-Monroe, rallying from down double-digits in the final minutes of regulation before winning 96-92 in double overtime.
The Jaguars trailed by 20 in the first half, by 18 at halftime and by 14 at 71-57 with 3:16 left in regulation. South Alabama scored 14 straight points to force overtime, then survived two extra periods to win against a ULM team that made 19 3-pointers in the game. Chaze Harris filled up the box score for South Alabama, scoring a game-high 38 points, with five rebounds, eight assists and six steals. Adam Olsen and Jayden Cooper added 20 points each for the Jaguars, while Hantz Louis-Jeune scored 16 and Randy Brady grabbed 12 rebounds. After the teams were tied 71-71 after regulation and 84-84 after the first overtime, South Alabama finally took the lead for good on Olsen’s 3-pointers with 30 seconds remaining in the game. Cooper rebounded Dylan Diaz’s 3-point attempt with three seconds left, and nailed a pair of free throws to clinch the victory. Krystian Lewis scored 29 points for ULM , including eight 3-pointers.
