A historic property in the upper east side of Manhattan, New York, was recently bought by a South African for a staggering $57 million , according to theSprawled over 2 800m² in East 68th Street, a block-and-a-half from Central Park, the 8m wide home boasts six bedrooms, staffrooms, a private indoor pool and a sauna.
Previous residents include former Fox boss Roger Ailes, who was accused by several women, including esteemed news reporter Megyn Kelly, of sexually harassing them. The new owner will have a number of high-profile neighbors including Woody Allen, Drew Barrymore, Bill Murray and Samuel L Jackson who all stay on the Upper East side.The house was originally listed for $50m but increased in price due to the furnishings.
