Barnett, 27, is a former Philadelphia Eagles first-round draft pick from Tennessee acquired off waivers last season. He played in six games with four starts and recorded 2 1/2 sacks, 19 tackles, eight tackles for losses and 11 quarterback hits. In the playoffs, he played in two games with one start and had one more sack and seven tackles, two quarterback hits and two tackles for losses.Barnett joined the Texans after restructuring his contract one year after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament.
