Report: Rangers renew contact with free agent, Irving native Trevor Story
SURPRISE, Ariz. — Are the Rangers just into collecting All-Star shortstops?
Story and the Rangers had talked in November about the shortstop job in November before the club signed Corey Seager. Story, who still lives in Irving, had expressed interest in coming back to Texas at that time. The Rangers, however, signed Seager and Marcus Semien, who moved from short to second in 2021 with Toronto. Semien will play second with the Rangers. The total cost for the pair: $500 million.
