The Eagles are signing Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown to a one-year deal in free agency.
New Eagles edge rusher Arnold Ebiketie had his first media availability as a member of the Eagles on Monday. The Eagles are signing veteran receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a one-year deal, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia on Tuesady afternoon.
The deal is reportedly worth up to $6.5 million, according to NFL insider Jordan Schutz, who first reported the signing.Brown, 28, is a speedy former first-round pick who has played seven seasons in the NFL. He’ll give the Eagles another veteran in their receiver room, joining DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. Obviously, there’s a chance Brown could be traded at some point this offseason, which made receiver an even bigger need. During his career, Brown has played in the slot and out wide so the Eagles will be able to use his flexibility. Having a speed threat as the No. 3 receiver seems like a good fit. The Eagles’ No. 3 receiver the last two years was Jahan Dotson. While Dotson seemed to make the plays that came his way, he was not very productive in 2024 or 2025 with the Eagles. He left in free agency to join the Falcons this offseason. The other receivers on the Eagles’ roster beyond the top three are Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson, Britain Covey, Quez Watkins and Danny Gray. Brown is coming off a nice season with the Chiefs. In 2025, Brown had 49 catches for 587 yards and 5 touchdowns after missing most of 2024 with a shoulder injury. His best NFL season came in 2021 with the Ravens, when he had 91 catches for 1,0008 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was traded during the 2022 NFL Draft to Arizona, where he spent two seasons before the last two in Kansas City. The Ravens drafted Brown with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Oklahoma. While he was unable to run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, he reportedly ran a 4.27 at the Oklahoma pro day. In his seven-year NFL career, Brown has 371 catches for 4,322 yards with 33 touchdowns. His average yards per catch is just 11.6.
