Cornell also won a Grammy in 2019 for his solo song “When Bad Does Good” and had multiple solo Grammy nominations. He also was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2019 for "The Keeper" from the movie "Machine Gun Preacher" .To be nominated for the rock hall, a band or artist had to release its first commercial record at least 25 years ago.
The inductees will be announced in April after more than 1,200 artists, rock history writers, and music industry professionals vote after considering criteria such as how the artist impacted other musicians and the longevity of their body of work and technique.
