Sophie Turner is taking a deep dive into the ’80s as she continues to explore her onscreen character for Joan.The actor made a rare red-carpet appearance at Jack Solomons Club in London on Thursday to celebrate the launch of the new ITV miniseries. In it, Turner plays the lead, Joan, based on an infamous real-life British diamond thief of the 1980s, Joan Hannington.
“Forever living in the 80s 💎 💋 JOAN,” Turner captioned an Instagram post in which she included photos of herself in the all-beige ensemble—then styled with a wide-brim hat.In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year, the actor opened up about how she got into the role. “I got to play with really fun ’80s clothes and ’80s personas and makeup and hair, and it was an absolute blast,” she said. “It was such a treat as an actor.
