'Sonic 3' also stands as the most successful installment in the franchise, outpacing its predecessors, 'Sonic the Hedgehog' (2020) and 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2' (2022). The film premiered in December alongside 'Mufasa: The Lion King', raking in nearly double the box office revenue and continuing the franchise's winning streak. While 'Mufasa' is currently poised to overtake 'Sonic 3' in the coming days, both films have achieved impressive success. 'Sonic 3' domestically grossed $230 million and another $232 million from overseas markets, showcasing the film's global appeal.Directed by Jeff Fowler, 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' boasts a 'fresh' 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a remarkable 95% audience score, making it the best-reviewed film in the trilogy.
