Listen up thrifting fiends and treasure hunters: it might just be worth going through those old boxes in your relatives’ attics.
That’s what Maria Leoni-Sceti did – and now she has one of the most exciting new accessories brands to show for her trawling.
Comprising mainly belts made of stones including agate and lapis lazuli with glass cabochons set in gold-tone brass and resting on multicoloured silk braids, it was nothing short of a treasure trove. “We just couldn’t believe what we were seeing,” says Leoni-Sceti, who was bowled over by the quality and preservation of such special pieces, the opulent aesthetic of which harks back to the glamorous lifestyle Petroff enjoyed.
The brand launched in 2015, available to purchase via its website and at a handful of independent boutiques around the world. In July of this year, however, it reached new heights, arriving onand quickly becoming one of its best-selling brands for the week, responsible for a quarter of the top-selling items.
