South Korean rapper Song Mino has been booked by the Seoul Mapo Police on December 23rd for allegedly violating the Military Service Act. The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) requested the investigation after an internal review revealed potential breaches. If confirmed, Song Mino's discharge may be revoked, and he could face further military service.
On December 26, the Seoul Mapo Police announced they had booked Song Mino on December 23 on suspicion of violating the Military Service Act , following a request from the Military Manpower Administration to investigate the matter. A summons date has not yet been determined.
Regarding this, an official from MMA stated, “We have requested a police investigation into Song Mino for violating the Military Service Act. After conducting an internal review, we determined that certain matters required further confirmation by the police.” The police are now reviewing the details of the MMA’s request to determine if Song Mino breached the Military Service Act. If the allegations of negligence are confirmed, his discharge may be revoked, and he will be required to serve additional time to account for the period in question.
