The Travis County Sheriff's Office says it happened at 9301 Hog Eye Rd. at around 9:36 p.m. Deputies responded to 9-1-1 reports of a disturbance and shots fired at the bus stop nearby. When they arrived at the scene, they found Duan Davis, 61, of Austin, with gunshot wounds. Despite CPR attempts, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.Two suspects were detained after witnesses reported seeing them flee the scene in a black Denali and deputies later conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle nearby. One of the suspects is the victim's son, Quentyn Ervin Davis, 19, of Austin. He's been charged with murder.
A search warrant was executed in the overnight hours at the victim's home as part of the investigation. The Travis County Sheriff's Office confirms this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
