A warm Wednesday gives way to an organized storm threat early Thursday morning, including damaging winds and a few tornadoes.

- An organized line of showers and thunderstorms will march across the region through the early-morning hours on Thursday, and some of those storms could be strong to severe. Damaging winds are the primary threat, but a few isolated tornadoes are possible as well.

Wednesday will start cloudy and muggy with patchy fog early in the morning, but conditions will improve through the day. Clouds will gradually clear, giving way to partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. It’ll be breezy with highs near 84°. Winds will be from the south-southwest at 10-20 mph. The warm weather won’t last long. Clouds will increase tonight as an organized storm system approaches from the west.An organized line of showers and thunderstorms will move across the region during the early-morning hours--primarily between 2 AM and 8 AM. Some storms could be strong to severe., but isolated tornadoes are possible as well. Stay weather-aware and have a way to receive warnings overnight and into Thursday morning. Rain should come to an end by mid-morning. Skies will turn mostly sunny to sunny by the afternoon, but it will be noticeably cooler. Highs will only reach the middle to upper 60s. Winds will shift to the north-northwest at 10-20 mph.will be sunny and cool with lows dropping into the 40s overnight. Highs will reach the lower 70s.will be partly cloudy with a stray shower or two possible. Highs will reach the lower 80s.brings another quick round of scattered showers through the morning, then partly cloudy skies. A stronger push of much cooler air will move into the region through the opening half of next week.
