The Indian Lake community continues to work to rebuild after tornadoes ravaged the community.
Some residents are being asked to leave temporary hotels, motels and Airbnb ’s to make room for businesses to fulfill obligations of eclipse watchers, before the tornado hit. April 4, 2024 Earlier this week the governor’s office said there are more than 200 families that are in desperate need of shelter. Many of those families stay in hotels and Airbnb ’s.

My parents didn’t have renter's insurance, they worked hard to get that trailer. We were renting,” said Scurlock.
They tried to -- we had to share a two-person room and have four people there. I went through several days of just back-and-forth, and back-and-forth with the owner,” he said. “We were going to have to move all our stuff and then come back. Bring all our stuff back and then continue our week at the time that we were staying. But the owner of Waffle House took care of that, so iI don’t have to uproot everything again.”I don't know.
