“There’s no reason to believe it was anything suspicious,” Fire Chief Mark Vedder said Friday .Solon Fire Rescue was dispatched to what was described as a “fully involved house fire” at about 7 p.m. Thursday. It was reported by a neighbor. On arrival, Solon fire units found a deep-seated fire with flames and smoke coming from the garage area, the report indicated.The fire was quickly subdued with hand lines, but required extensive overhaul to fully extinguish, the report stated.Extremely cold temperatures and icy conditions hampered firefighting operations, according to the report.
