The results showed Msimanga defeating his only opponent Khume Ramulifho for the DA's top job in Gauteng. "Let us make sure that 2024 is the 1994 for so many who have missed the opportunity of living in a South Africa that delivers for all, that gives hope to the hopeless, that ensures that we are all able to prosper," he said in his victory speech.
