The Italian-language film follows two very different teens involved in a surrogate motherhood scheme. Italian director Carlo Sironi’s feature debut is described to us as “the story of two ordinary people facing an extraordinary situation.” Cast comprises Sandra Drzymalska, Claudio Segaluscio, Barbara Ronchi, Bruno Buzzi, Marco Felli, Vitaliano Trevisan and Orietta Notari.
Luxbox is handling sales on the movie which was produced by Kino Produzioni, Lava Films and RAI and developed at the Cannes Festival’s Cinéfondation Residence Paris development program. The feature went through five development initiatives: Berlinale Script Station, Eave, Cinéfondation Foundation, Torino Film Lab and Sundance Mediterranean Lab.
Sironi’s shorts have played at Locarno, Venice and Turin and one was nominated for a David di Donatello award.
