, was done via FaceTime following COVID-19 regulations. FaceTime may not be a method Sofia was anticipating when she dreamed of modeling growing up, but she says Greg made it a joyful experience that she'll never forget.
"It was just the funnest thing," Sofia recalls. "I've never experienced a FaceTime photo shoot, but just knowing that this was really my first shoot with IMG was so, so exciting. My dad now jokes that that should be how every single photo shoot is, just going outside of your house and then finding a plant that looks good right behind you with the sun." While that prospect is certainly convenient, Sofia is already looking forward to more traditional photo shoots. "Once everything is safe and healthy again, we can finally go in person and I can meet people and shake their hands and have that experience of modeling truly in front of the camera," Sofia adds with excitement. "There's something different about that; when you're in a studio in front of a camera with all the lights and the hair and makeup. I think that just really adds the experience of modeling." No doubt, Sofia's background as a trained dancer and actor lends itself perfectly to modeling. "Movement is a really big part of modeling, and a lot of it can really feel like choreography... There's so much emotion that goes into it, and so [being an actor] does play into modeling as well, where you have to be sad and mad and happy and joyful and all these different emotions just for a simple picture." In this new phase of her career, Sofia hopes to continue to push for representation and is quick to highlight the importance and need of inclusivity within the modeling industry, a natural extension of
