It might be useful to start with a really good definition of socialist feminism. bell hooks, who writes on race, socialism, and feminism, argues in her brilliant book that “feminism is the struggle against sexist oppression. Its aim is not to benefit solely any specific group of women, any particular race or class of women.” In other words, it’s not a lifestyle, an identity, or a particular group, but an ongoing struggle to end the oppression of all women .
